Our Background
How We Got Our Start
We originally started in 2000 at Brooken Cove, close to the Eufaula Dam. Chef Eric's parents' purchased a convenient store, Pete's Place, that had a small shop building behind it. Chef Eric was living in Ohio working at the Yard Club when he came to visit his parents new business. He envisioned turning the shop building into a restaurant, that's when E's Hideaway came to life. In 2004, his parents decided to retire and sale the property. Chef Eric and his wife Amanda moved away until 2011. In 2013, Eric and Amanda along with their children, embarked on a new adventure building their new home for E's Hideaway in Stigler, OK. This location opened in April 2014 and continued until March 2019. Our business kept growing and then their current location became no longer feasible. We were contacted by Karen Weldin in Eufaula Oklahoma asking us if we would be interested in opening our establishment in a historical building on Main St in Eufaula. The remodeling of the beautiful historical building that was once the home of Sellers Pharmacy/Ben Franklin Store and Pharmacy took 13 months. We attribute our reputation to the lasting customer relationships we’ve developed throughout the years. We believe that all of our customers deserve the highest quality of food, highest level of service, and we are committed to providing just that.
